Elle avait une soeur, appel\u00e9e Marie, qui, apr\u00e8s s&rsquo;\u00eatre assise aux pieds du Seigneur, \u00e9coutait ce qu&rsquo;il enseignait. Marthe \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s affair\u00e9e \u00e0 tout pr\u00e9parer pour le repas. Elle survint et dit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Seigneur, cela ne te fait-il rien que ma soeur me laisse seule pour accomplir tout le travail\u00a0? Dis-lui donc de m&rsquo;aider.\u00a0\u00bb Le Seigneur lui r\u00e9pondit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Marthe, Marthe, tu t&rsquo;inqui\u00e8tes et tu t&rsquo;agites pour beaucoup de choses, mais une seule est n\u00e9cessaire.
